In what year did you enter the industry and in what role?
I entered the beauty industry right out of college in 2002. My love for art and makeup and my desire to grow in a sales driven industry made me a perfect fit for Mac Cosmetics, an Estee Lauder company. I went back to school in 2009 for holistic healing/aesthetics, which led me to the resort spa industry! I haven't looked back!
What is your best tip for client retention, retailing, or upselling?
Always stay educated and well versed on your product. You are the expert, your bottom line depends on it!
What is your favorite professional spa or salon product of all time (brand & product name)?
As an esthetician and Spa Director, integrity and quality are my priority's! GM Collin, an innovative canadian skin care line, wowed me right out of esthetic school with their exclusive range of award winning products! To be successful in this industry you must have a unique value proposition, GM Collin fuses plant stem cells, essential oils, and medical grade ingredients to provide instant results and an effective home care system. As a business manager, GM Collin creates incredible ease by pre-portioning their back bar clinical facials.
